If you are like me, as a Christian you've probably experienced various denominations from Episcopalian to Apostolic, but none of them seemed to fit exactly how you really view God. Well after almost 25 years of having what Christians call "a personal relationship with God", I finally feel as if I've found the perfect explanation of how God views us and how we should view ourselves as His children, and this explanation is what I call "The Experience of GRACE!"
The Bible tells us in John 1:17 that "The law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ!" This scripture alone tells us that the sole purpose of Jesus death, burial & resurrection was to save believers such as myself from the penalty of their sins which was death; and not only did He save us from the penalty of past sins, but also present and yes even future sins!
The revelation of grace is not new to Christians, but in my experience even when the concept is taught it is always laden with some form of the law; whether it is as blatant as, if you drink a glass of wine you have sinned and have to repent and ask for God's forgiveness or as subtle as, if you don't pay your tithes you will not be blessed financially. This type of thinking is what grace believers like myself call, "a mixture" of law & grace, and according to Galatians 5:4 this type of belief makes grace of no effect!
It is through this blog that I have dedicated myself to helping other Christians understand the grace that has been given to them through our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ, and to bring non-believers to a better understanding of what being "a Christian" really means!
So join me weekly as I strive to understand, expound upon and embrace the full Blessings of God through His Love, Mercy & most of all His Grace!
